Built only to improve what is already there.
Heqiao and Lucas founded Shape.haus in 2022 with a shared passion for crafting sustainable, concept-driven villas and resorts in Indonesia. We prioritize true craftsmanship and only use authentic materials like real Teak and Ulin wood. Our projects aim to enhance the land and honor local heritage, ensuring each build has a positive impact. Beyond our work, we’re committed to giving back, envisioning community spaces like public parks that uplift Bali’s future.
We have passion for concepts, design and building sustainable concepts. We, Heqiao and lucas (founders), have been living in Indonesia since 2022. We both share a passion for building real life concepts using true craftsmanship. Besides we care about the impact building has on soil, local heritage, culture and so on.
We care about how areas get developed. Meaning that if a plot of land doesn’t get better of a building, we prefer not to built. Our minimum requirements are also to use quality materials. Most of our materials are 100% authentic. Real Teak and Ulin wood. Real river stones. You name it.
With the combined knowledge of our team we guide you trough the process of building your own villa or resort. The questions to answer are: what do you want to achieve and why? We will help you dig deeper in those questions. After that we take care of the “how”. To make sure your concept comes alive in the best way possible.

Lucas
Focus: developing projects within budget, time, quality and sustainability.
Vision: setting the standard for project development in Bali around sustainability and technology.
Dick Jan
In Bali: has been in Bali since 1986 and has a large network in hospitality.
Focus: attract the right partners, clients, media and investors.
Vision: intention, energy and mindset ensure growth and fulfillment.
Consultant Yuli
Ibu Yuli and her team are trained professionals in building permit applications
Her goal is to make the proces as easy as possible and navigate us through the Balinese architecture and building regulations per area

Ensuring the structural drawings based on the soil types in Indonesia.
Li Lin is a renowned engineer from Beijing.

With a background of working for Pertamina (gas & oil company), Kevi expanded into residential construction. His goal is to higher the indonesian building standard together with our projects.
